Children's Programs


All programs are held at the South Franklin Community Center and are provided at no cost unless otherwise specified.

Tutoring (elementary school)

During the school year, daily after school tutoring is provided to children ages 5 – 11. In addition to homework assistance, tutors have been trained in proven literacy improvement techniques. Children who consistently come to tutoring all see significant improvements in their academic performance over the course of the school year. To see the tutoring schedule visit our calendar under the "Contact Us" section of the website. 




The South Franklin Soccer League is a Provo City Parks special project designed to offer lower income families the chance to have their children participate in an organized sport with almost no out of pocket expense.  We have one soccer season per year that runs August- October.



Summer Reading Club

For children and teenagers of all ages. The children are given a book based on thier age and divided into groups. Volunteers spend 15 minutes each week reading with the kids and  then enjoy pizza and games. The purpose of the club is to generate enthusiasm for reading. Reading club runs from June-August.

Music Lessons

Free guitar, violin and piano lessons are available to interested individuals ages 5 and up. Instruments and schedules vary by volunteer. Please visit the center or email us for more information.








Math is Money

A math study program built for studens to learn the value of learning math skills. They use the "Khan Academy" program To see our class schedule visit our calendar under the "Contact Us" section of the website.

Healthy Me Games

For children ages 6-14.  A mentorship program to inspire healthy living and friendships. Children will participate in activities such as soccer, badmintin, and literacy walks. Healthy Me runs from June-August
