Programs

School Age Children

  • Intro to Music: Come learn the basics of music. Learn how to read notes, different instruments and prepare to take private music lessons at the center. Ages 5 and up Meets Monday 6-7pm. (held remotely through google meet). 
  • Kindermusik. Kids learn and study music and movement through singing and musical games. A wide variety of classes are available for kids 18 months up to 6 years. Space is limited. Please check our calendar for the meeting time. Ages 18 mo-6 years old. This class is held in person in the cetner.
  • Reading Club: Kids come together to read in a group based on their grade level. Games are played and snacks are provided. Meets Thursdays at 7:00-8:00 PM. K-8th grade. This class is held in person in the center. 
  • Stem Club: Children come and learn and participate in various science, technology, engineering, and math activities. Meets Tuesdays 6:00-7:00 PM. 3rd-8th grade. This class is held in person in the center. 
  • Homework Help: Homework help is a 1 on 1 tutoring program offered in person and online to help students (K-6) to receive help with any homework questions they many have. Students are tutored through volunteer teachers. Held Thursday nights with the first session from 6:00-6:50pm, and the second session from 7:00-7:50pm. K and up grade (held remotely through google meet).
  • Private Music Lessons: Private music lessons for piano, violin, and guitar are available to local residents ages 5+ through volunteer teachers. Kids 6-10 must take 2 semesters of choir or show prior music knowledge. Ages 6+. Held remotely or in person, determined by teacher and student. 
  • Summer Learning Program. Academically based summer program focused on literacy. Meets Monday-Friday from 8:30am-12:00pm. Held the whole month of July. Due to demand only one session per child is allowed. 2nd-8th grade.

Adults

  • Language Exchange: Participate in a class where you can practice and learn specifically the Spanish and English languages. Class is held every Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM. (held remotely through google meet).
  • Cultural Adaptation: Learn to live a more successful life after immigrating to the United States. Topics discussed in the class will include: communication, working with the local court system, how to use public transportation, medical assistance resources, and many more! The class is every Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM. (held remotely through google meet).
  • Zumba: Taught by a local community member participate in an upbeat Latin- style dance fitness class. Class is held Monday-Friday at 9:00-10:00 am. This class is held in person in the center. 
  • Create Better Health: Learn how to create a series of nutritious meals to incoorporate into your daily meals. This will be a cooking class that teaches you how to create simple, easy, nurtritiuos meals. Class is held Wednesday's from 6:00-7:00 PM. (held remotely through zoom).

Family

  • Art Class: Paint, create, design, and learn new art techniques. Families are welcome. Meets every Friday at 4:00-5:00 pm. Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. This class will be held in person in the center.
