Summer Learning

Summer Learning Registration

Everyone loves summer. As soon as the last school bell rings, students grab their backpacks and race out the door, leaving all thoughts of reading, math, history, and tests behind. And what happens next? Sometimes it’s camp or summer reading programs. More often, it’s a lot of TV watching, video games, social media, going out with friends, and avoiding anything that looks remotely like a book.
South Franklin Community Center wants to support children in the Franklin South Neighborhood to have a fun summer and keep up academically. From July 6th through the 30th, we will be hosting a free summer learning program for children entering second grade through eighth grade. We will hold two sessions, a morning and afternoon, and the children will attend math, reading, social studies, and stem classes. Also, every Friday, the two sessions will join in the morning for field trips. There are many benefits for a child to join our summer learning program, individualized instruction, being with peers, and in many cases advancing in academic areas. For questions or concerns, please call us at 801-691-5660.
